It’s November and it’s time for Fireworks Night! This is one of my favourite times of year as I love to dress up warmly and go out with my family at nighttime to watch our local fireworks display. It’s always something to look forward to…
I can see the similarities of a fireworks display on Bonfire Night to a children’s gymnastics class. Each child is a bright spark with their own individual personality. In the same way that each firework is skilfully created each of your bright sparks deserves to be nurtured so that their individuality can shine through. Some children look very graceful when they perform their gym skills, like a fountain whereas others are more punchy and dynamic, like a rocket. Each child creates their own unique explosion of prettiness just like a firework and all of them make a lot of noise!!

A BEAUTIFUL FOUNTAIN OF GYMNASTICS
So what’s your favourite firework?… Could it be a fountain with it’s beautiful shower of sparks, a catherine wheel, a spinning sensation, a rocket that whistles as it flies through the sky or do you like to hold a sparkler and draw your own patterns in the air and reminisce about what it felt like to do this for the very first time as a child? Each firework looks like it is embarking on it’s own adventure through the sky, just like your child at their club as they zoom upwards without looking back!
Did you know that your child is currently working on new skills at their Skill Testing classes as they climb the Flair award syllabus. There are lots of different new skills to be mastered to complete each level so not everyone will pass their award level this term but everyone will receive an Achievement certificate to celebrate their progress.
Please keep up your awesome encouragement of your children’s achievements big or small as this really helps to boost their confidence.
